Welcome to BioJapan 2005 World Business Forum
BioJapan was first launched in 1986, and held again in 1988. Since then, the event has been held every four years. However, the current environment surrounding biotechnology is changing rapidly, with business application of research results, university originated venture business and fluidity of human resources etc. To reflect these changes, BioJapan has changed its frequency to once a year.
BioJapan 2004 attracted participants from 22 overseas countries and regions with 331 booths by 354 companies, over 60 symposium sessions and 19,064 visitors over the three days.
BioJapan 2005 World Business Forum will:
･ Focus on the application of biotechnology in business
･ Activate human resources, money and information in the biotechnology sector
･ Promote worldwide cluster-to-cluster partnerships and alliances
･ Highlight and discuss the most up-to-date themes
･ Try to find technological and business solutions for common international problems
We hope that BioJapan 2005 will provide biotechnology researchers and businesspeople with the opportunity for networking, exchanging information and building up alliances and partnerships in Yokohama - one of the active regional bioclusters in Japan.
