※We recommend that you get an idea of the look and feel of Tokyo Game Show 2015 (TGS2015) in advance. Photos from TGS2014 are included to help you form a mental picture. Please note, however, that there will be some differences between TGS2015 and TGS2014, so the photos are for reference purposes only.
Only persons involved in the game industry (e.g., those employed by a game-related company, engaged in game-related work, considering business with a game-related company or working in the game distribution industry) will be admitted to Tokyo Game Show 2015 on Business Day, which is on September 17 (Thursday) and 18 (Friday).
We ask persons visiting the TGS on Business Day to register in advance by submitting an online form with personal information, etc., verifying that you work in a game industry-related business. Only those persons who have passed eligibility screenings by the Tokyo Game Show Management Office will be permitted admittance to the venue on Business Day.
Persons under the age of 18, students and those not involved in the game industry will not be allowed admittance.
For details, please see Admission to Business Day, September 17 (Thu.) and 18 (Fri.)
There will be no staff on hand on Business Day to provide assistance for finding your way to Makuhari Messe from Kaihin-Makuhari Station, etc. If you are visiting the venue for the first time, we encourage you to check the directions for getting to the venue in advance of your visit.
(Information on how to get to the venue can be found here.)
The reception counter for TGS2015 admission opens at 8 a.m. It is scheduled to be located on the second-floor concourse in front of International Exhibition Hall 3. TGS staff members at the reception counter will confirm your ID after which you will be given a badge holder with a Business Day pass. Please then proceed on to the end of the admission queue.
Note that you will need to show the following items at the reception counter: a printout of the “Business Day WEB Ticket with QR code” (A4 paper size) that is attached to the email confirming completion of your advance registration, photo identification and business card. Please have them ready when you go to the reception counter.
If you forget to bring your own printout of the “Business Day WEB Ticket with QR code” (A4 paper size) with you on the day of admission, please proceed to the WEB Tickets Printer counter and provide your name and the name of the company under which you made your advance registration. You may have to wait a while for the WEB Ticket to be printed out, so we encourage you to bring your own printout of the WEB Ticket.
Please note that registration is required even if you have received a “Business Day Registration Ticket” that is distributed by exhibitors to concerned parties. If you have not registered in advance, you will be asked to register at the venue on the day, which may require some time to complete. We encourage you to register in advance.
※The deadline for advance online registration with a Business Day Registration Ticket is 11:59 p.m. on September 16 (Wednesday).
Business Day Registration Ticket
In past years, persons who have gotten in line at the admission reception before 9 a.m. have been able to enter the venue without much of a wait after the doors open at 10 a.m. (Please note that this is only to give you a rough idea. Actual circumstances may differ on the day. If you have a meeting, etc., scheduled, please be sure to arrive well in advance of the appointed time.)
In order for persons who have applied to attend a TGS Forum Expert Session (fee charged) to enter the TGS exhibition halls, there is a need for them to register at the venue using a Business Day Registration Ticket that will be provided to them on the day.
If you are attending the TGS Forum Expert Session taking place on the September 17 (Thurs.), please first go to the information booth (photo on right) in front of Hall 5 on the second-floor concourse of Halls 1 - 8 and show a printout of your ticket for the TGS Forum Expert Session (A4 paper-sized TGS Forum Ticket that is attached to the email confirming your application). You will be provided with a Business Day Registration Ticket. Please register at the counter for on-the-day registrations.
If you are attending the TGS Forum Expert Session taking place on the September 18 (Fri.), please first go to the TGS Forum Expert Session reception counter on the second floor of the International Conference Hall. You will be provided with a Business Day Registration Ticket. Please register at the counter for on-the-day registrations.
Two locations are scheduled as reception counters for persons who have Premium Lounge Membership (membership fee charged). One reception counter will be located on the second-floor concourse in front of International Exhibition Hall 3 (the same as that for regular Business Day visitors). The other will be on the second floor of the International Conference Hall where the Premium Lounge will be located. When going through reception, you will need to show the following: a printout of the “Business Day Web Ticket with QR code” (A4 paper size) that is attached to the email confirming your Premium Lounge membership, photo identification and business card. Please have them ready when you go to the reception.
If you forget to bring your own printout of the “Business Day WEB Ticket with QR code” (A4 paper size) with you on the day of admission, please proceed to the WEB Tickets Printer counter and provide your name and the name of the company under which you made your advance registration. You may have to wait a while for the WEB Ticket to be printed out, so we encourage you to bring a printout of the Business Day WEB Ticket.
You will be able to use the Premium Lounge after you have gone through the reception procedures. Even if the persons with whom you will be carrying out your business meetings have not gone through the Tokyo Game Show reception, meetings in the Premium Lounge can be held with them if you accompany them inside. We suggest that you first meet up with them outside.
