Beware of heat exhaustion

Severely warm condition is possibly expected in and around the venue. Be sure to keep hydrated and replenish electrolytes (salt) as the crowded conditions both within and outside the exhibition halls can make you prone to excessive sweating.

Prohibited Activities

・Queuing all night for TOKYO GAME SHOW entry is strictly prohibited.

・During the Public Day, please refrain from using selfie sticks and stop using smartphone while walking.

・To prevent accidents, please refrain from running at the exhibition halls. Visitors may be refused entry or ordered to leave from TOKYO GAME SHOW by the Management Office if he/she commit an act likely to be dangerous or disruptive to other visitors or deem to interfere the event operation.

・When watching stage performances at exhibitor booths, cheering, shouting out, call-and-response and jumping are prohibited.

・Please note that a live performance itself may be terminated in the event that acts described above are detected.

・There are some booths that restrict or prohibit shooting and upload of photographs and video. Please follow the instructions of the booth attendants.

・Inside exhibition halls 1-8, please turn off mobile routers and turn off the Wi-Fi functions on smartphones and handheld game consoles. Due to increased use of the mobile devices at the venue, the network condition in the exhibition halls have been worse year by year. There is a limit to the amount of wireless LAN signals and too many devices with wireless LAN may cause harms on the demonstrations and trial game-playing at the venue. If you would like to go to wireless LAN, please go to Wi-Fi hotspot on Central Mall.

For Business Day Visitors

・Entry on Business Day on Sep. 15 and 16 is limited to the people working in the game industry. Please finish advance registration before the event.

・The content and schedule of exhibits and events are subject to change without notice.

・There is a special gate available for the handicapped persons who require special assistance. Please inquire with any attendant.

・Please follow the instructions of the attendants at the venue. You may be asked to leave if you do not comply. The organizer will not assume any responsibility for accidents that may occur in the case that instructions and precautionary notices are not complied with.

・The organizer will not assume any responsibility for theft and other property loss.

・The organizer will not comply with any paging requests.

・Smoking is prohibited at the venue except at designated areas.

・Eating is allowed only in the designated area.

・Please note that video and photo shooting are scheduled at the venue by the mass media and Management Office. Please be forewarned that your likeness may appear on television, newspapers, magazines, on websites.

・Visitors are strictly prohibited from bringing specified items to the venue see the list below

For Public Day Visitors

・Visitors’ baggage inspections will be conducted on Public Day (September 16[after14:00], 17 ,18 ). Details can be found in the notice below

・The content and schedule of exhibits and events are subject to change without notice at the organizer’s discretion.

・Please note that admission gates will close at 5:00 p.m. on Public Day (September 16, 17, 18).

・Admission may be controlled depending on congestion condition of the venue.

・There is a special gate available for the disabled who require assistance. Please inquire with any attendant.

・Pets (with the exception of guide dogs and service dogs) are not permitted inside the venue.

・Children of elementary school age and younger will not be admitted to this year's TGS, even if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

・Please follow the instructions of the attendants at the venue. You may be asked to leave if you do not comply. The organizer will not assume any responsibility for accidents that may occur in the case that instructions and precautionary notices are not complied with.

・Depending on the game you wish to play, you may be asked to present a valid document to verify your age (e.g. driver’s license, passport, student ID card, etc.) Note that the age verification will be carried out at the respective booth. Please follow the instructions of the booth attendants when playing games.

・Please note that video and photo shooting are scheduled at the venue by the mass media and Management Office. Please be forewarned that your likeness may appear on television, newspapers, magazines, on websites.

Attention regarding clothing

There will be no cosplay area or cosplay changing rooms at TGS2022. Therefore, cosplayers are NOT allowed to take photos in and around the venue.

The following clothing is PROHIBITED. If you are found to be in violation, you may be asked to leave the venue.

・Clothing for professionals with special responsibilities in the course of their work

Police officers, firefighters, self-defense personnel, security guards, white coats, nurses' uniforms, etc.

・Excessive exposure of the skin

Any clothing that directly shows skin or undergarments (including those that look like underwear) on the chest, waist, etc.

・Items that cause discomfort to those around them.

Nazi military uniforms, clothing reminiscent of terrorism, bloodstains, etc.

Please refrain from wearing clothing that is associated with specific individuals or racial discrimination, or that may cause fear among the general public.

・Objects that are disruptive to the surrounding environment.

Large stuffed animals, haribote (pinata), skirts or cloaks that are long enough to drag on the floor, etc.

Restrictions on personal belongings inside the venue

The following items are prohibited to bring at venue.

・Items of any length over 50 cm (regardless of material)

(This includes hats, canes, rackets, and similar items (even if they are extendable or disassembled, items exceeding 50 cm in length are not allowed). Excluding casas for rainy weather. This also includes costumes and ornaments such as helmets and armor, etc. Horns, shoulders, and other ornaments exceeding 50 cm in length are prohibited.

・Weapons and armors such as firearms, swords, chains, etc.

Model guns, air guns, knives, sharp objects such as ice picks, needles, scissors, etc. are prohibited. Pointed objects such as model guns, air guns, knives, ice picks, pincers, needles, scissors, etc. or costume ornaments such as helmets and armor are also included.

・Items that may cause harm to others

Do not bring bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, or throwable items (yo-yos, balls, disks, etc.).

・Alcohol, fuel, chemicals, or items that make noise

Flammable items, items made of highly flammable materials, and items that emit strong odors are prohibited. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited in the venue. No music players, loudspeakers, musical instruments, or other noisy activities such as singing in chorus are prohibited.

Neither the sponsoring organization nor the venue will be liable for any disadvantages or accidents caused by visitors' belongings other than those mentioned above.

※Other items deemed dangerous by the staff are not allowed.

Baggage Inspection on Public Day

The inspection of visitors’ baggage will be carried out on both Public Days (September 16[Fri.]after 2:00pm, 17[Sat.], 18(Sun.) ) at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2022 with the objective of ensuring the safety of visitors.

Visitors are strictly prohibited from bringing specified items to the venue (see the list below). We ask that you refrain from bringing large amounts of baggage with you to enable the inspection to proceed smoothly. If you need to bring many items with you (e.g. persons participating in cosplay), be forewarned that the inspection may require time, so we advise you to arrive early. In regards to beverages in plastic bottles, we may ask to confirm the content.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation for the sake of safety and security in the venue.

Precautions for photographing

・Photographing of cosplayers by general visitors is prohibited. If such behavior is discovered, you may be asked to leave the venue.

・When photographing booth companions, etc., please be sure to obtain permission from the subject of the photo. Please use a wall as a background to avoid photographing unrelated people.

・Large strobes, lights, and other photographic equipment using stands, etc. are prohibited. Smaller equipment must also conform to the regulations of the venue (within 50 cm in length). If the staff determines that such equipment will cause inconvenience to others, it will be prohibited.

・Photographs taken at the venue may not be posted in publications or sold.
