HARMA

  • Table Game/Card Game
  • Adventure
Exhibitors Name :
INDIRECT SHINE (Japan)
Platform :
  • Steam / iOS / Android

HARMA began with the belief of humans overcoming hardships.
We have created an immensely challenging strategic card game that befits this theme.
Drawing inspiration from numerous classics, this game enhances the elements of strategic card games while reimagining a tragic narrative through a retro dark fantasy lens.
The dark fantasy world is the emblem of this game.
Engage in battles with a diverse and unique array of demons depicted in 8-color retro pixel art, providing exceptional immersion.
Venture through this gloomy world amidst wandering destinies.
The challenging difficulty and profound strategic elements are another symbol of this game.
Our lives are never simply fulfilled as we wish.
Choices based on strategy and random factors demonstrate that the fight against demons is no easy task.
However, we have always embraced challenges that are worth it.
Stand against the world's evil and prove your existence.

Kamiji

Exhibitors Name :
Kamiji (Japan)
Platform :
  • iOS
  • Android
  • Tablet
  • PC
  • Steam

Kamiji is a Japanese-learning AR trading card game that finds magic in the mundane! Following a volcanic eruption the creatures known as Kami were propelled out of the earth. They were lost and had no homes... But fortunately the ancient humans of China and Japan had hoped and anticipated that they would come home. And forged their entire writing system of the image of the Kami, knowing that one day they would have domains to return to. So the Kami finding these shrine-like remembrances of themselves buried themselves within the kanji. They might've gone completely unnoticed had it not been for a team of scientists who developed a new technology in the form of an app, called Kamiji. Players can use it to scan kanji characters on outdoor billboards that were covered in volcanic ash of the eruption to capture and tame the Kami living within each kanji character.

When players take a snap with Kamiji's scanner, it overlays the visual database (Street View) and their location data with the photo they took. The game's unique technology verifies whether the kanji characters they've scanned actually exist in the real world. Each kanji monster is location-specific, requiring players to visit various spots where they are actually located. The limited availability of each monster based on its location creates rarity, and players must go on a wild treasure hunt if they want to find every single one of them! Once a kanji monster residing in a kanji character is captured, it becomes a trading card within the game. Each card's ability/abilities are based on the radical(s) of the kanji they were scanned from For example, a kanji monster with the "water" radical is strong against monsters with the "fire" radical. During Tokyo Game Show we plan to hold a special event for Kamiji, where we will turn Makuhari Messe into a special zone for 4 days, allowing players to scan any kanji (from signboards to hand-drawn ones) within premises of the area . Come to the booth to try out Kamiji's scanner, single player and online multiplayer for yourself and battle over 700 kanji monsters! The players who collect the most will get a special Kamiji-themed reward.

A board game came to life in front of your eyes, and several humans are scrambling through different levels to reach the finish line without being mowed down by chasing aliens. With your deck of unique, one-time-use cards, your role is to save or condemn them – how many will survive? How many will be alien food? It's up to you!

This project originated from a one-week sprint for VRJam 2022 and, having reached 2nd place from over 100 competitors, we decided to take the time to make it into a fully-fledged experience. We hope you'll come visit!

Grow The Seed

  • Table Game/Card Game
  • Simulation
Exhibitors Name :
4z4_production (Indonesia)
Platform :
  • Steam

Welcome to Grow the Seed, a deck-building strategy game where you can experience the excitement of growing your own seed into a fruit-bearing tree. Use a set of utility cards to grow, cut certain parts, or even manipulate your surroundings to your advantage. But be prepared for the unexpected -- with changing weather and pesky pests, every day presents new challenges to overcome.
Grow Your Plant, Plan Your Growth
Imagine a game simulation of growing a tree from a seed. You can grow the roots to search for water or other sources of nutrients, or cut them loose if they're decaying or the tree doesn't have enough food to maintain its size. You can also grow and cut other parts of the tree, such as the stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits. Moreover, you can even manipulate the surroundings to your tree's advantage. Now, all of these actions are limited to only using cards.
Slay the Spire + Tree-Growing Simulation = ?
In combat deck-building games, you use cards to inflict damage, shield yourself, or perform other actions. In Grow the Seed, cards are used to grow your tree. You can plant a root or stem toward a specific direction, grow leaves for photosynthesis, or a flower with the hope that it will bloom into a fruit. Well, even if it fails and begins to wither instead, don't fret -- cut it loose! There are no more soils or water that can provide any nutrients or water for photosynthesis? Say no more, add more soils! With cards, of course. And if you have enough Miracle to use too, of course.
Invading Pests, Click Away!
Not having enough food is not your only obstacle that stops you from prospering. Caterpillars, crows, and other pests can damage your precious tree. No need to worry though -- when they arrive, you can repel them by click'em away!
