アワード受賞作品が決定
SOWN審査委員により、TGS2021 ONLINEインディーゲーム「選考出展」80作品の中から、SOWN2021（10月1日11:00～ライブ配信）に進出するファイナリスト8作品を選出。日本から2作品、イスラエルから２作品、インド、オランダ、カナダ、ベルギーからそれぞれ1作品がファイナリストに選ばれました。
10/1（金）にファイナリスト8組がプレゼンテーションに臨み、審査の結果、アワード受賞作品が決定しました。最高賞にあたるAudience Award GPに選出されたのは、イスラエルからエントリーした『Blind Drive』（ファイナリスト名：Lo-Fi People）。審査委員から、「目が見えない状態でのドライブといった１アイデアでスタートしながら、様々なシチュエーションのシナリオが用意されているほか、ゲームの奥行きもうまく設計されており、素晴らしいタイトルだと感じました。洗練されたセンス・オブ・ワンダーの要素がオーディエンスの皆さんにも高く評価されたのだと思います」といったコメントが寄せられました。そのほかの賞には下記のタイトルが選出。Audience Award GPの受賞者には賞金3,000USドル、各賞受賞者にはそれぞれ500USドルが授与されます。

While Mondrian was advocating pure abstraction, Waterzooi accidentally discovered an interactive world behind his paintings. SUBGAMES Season 1 contains 3 games, each based on a different existing Mondrian painting.The first game is a challenging color puzzle where you have to reproduce color-patterns. The second game takes you on a romantic adventure with puzzle elements. The third game is a relaxing maze where you collect letters for a poem. VITRIOL is a personal project by Martin Pichlmair (co-founder of Broken Rules, known for Old Man’s Journey; see vertical-progress.net) and Charlene Putney (writer of games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 and NUTS; see alphachar.com). It is a narrative word puzzle game where only your wits can help you escape a bureaucratic nightmare. Level by level, you rearrange a mosaic of letters to find hidden answers within the words and progress through the story. Think of a crossword puzzle where the clues are part of the solution.There are word games where you move individual letters around, but few are narrative games. There are puzzle games that use language in creative ways, but very few require you to use your language brain in combination with a spatial challenge and storytelling. As far as we can tell, no other game with this combination of mechanics exists.VITRIOL is a game for readers and writers, for wielders of language. Our main innovation is that we use the elements of language as puzzle pieces. Every word puzzle has intended solutions but there are many ways to reach those solutions. Language is used like clay in our game - you re-make meaning from the raw materials provided as you progress.We were initially inspired by the mundane horror of filling out forms while moving country. We wanted to explore that feeling of “bureaucratic fear” and see if we could transform it into confidence. We want players to initially feel the sludgy, swampy mire of bureaucracy weighing down upon them, before realising by the end of the game how free they are to express themselves, realising that they have choices and agency in the narrative of their own lives.

Game has a single player and local multiplayer mode. Puck off came in 3rd in an international Big Indie Pitch competition. Judges drew a lot of connections to Rocket League, which was one of the inspirations in game's design phase. 「時間が逆行する世界で、過去の自分と協力し、脱出せよ」をキャッチコピーにしたパズルアクションゲームです。各ステージにはポータルがあり、中に入るとステージの時間が逆行し始めます。時間が逆行した世界では、壊れた箱や割れたガラスが元に戻っていきます。そして、ポータルに入るまでの自分の動きも逆再生されます。ポータルから出たプレイヤーは、その過去の自分と協力しながら逆行世界のギミックを解き、脱出を目指します。このゲームで最も重要なのは、逆行世界での考え方を習得することです。例えば、「箱を落として、扉を開けた」あとにポータルに入ると、逆行世界では「扉が閉じて、箱が上にのぼっていく」という現象が起きます。プレイヤーは、逆行世界での出来事を想定して準備しなければギミックを解くことができません。つまり、順番が反転し、逆の出来事が起きることを想定してプレイする必要があります。このゲームをクリアした後には、逆行世界での考え方が身に付き、世界の見え方が少し変わってきます。もう一つ重要なのは、過去の自分の存在です。初めは、過去の自分に苛立ちを覚えます。自分が押してほしいタイミングよりも早くボタンを押されたり、ギミック解除の順番が違ったり、あるいは役に立たない馬鹿な動きをしていたりするでしょう。しかしプレイを進める中で、過去の自分との連携がうまくいくようになり、最後には、最も頼れるパートナーが自分であることに気が付くはずです。

世界構築RPG「Minable＆Create/ミナクリ」は分かり易い2D画面のサンドボックスゲームです。6つの生物群系（バイオーム）からなる広大な世界やダンジョンが自動生成され、モンスターや宝箱・素材などもランダム配置されます。モンスターとの戦闘やダンジョン攻略、自分の拠点構築などのクリエイティブ等、プレイの自由度が高いゲーム内容となっています。基本的に画面に表示される物は何でも掘れて、破壊できて、素材を取得する事が可能です。集めた材料は加工してアイテムやツール類、武器・防具を作成できます。レアな材料ほど効果の強い物が作れるので、素材の発見や収集も楽しい要素になっています。地形を自由に創り変えたり、床、壁、柵、扉、罠などを配置して拠点を構築する事も可能です。発見したNPC（ノンプレイヤーキャラクター）を仲間にして配置する事もできます。NPCや動物はモンスターと敵対関係にあるので、モンスターから逃げる者、反撃する者、攻撃する者など、キャラクターにより行動が異なります。モンスターに襲われて逃げる豚、それを助けに入る戦士ＮＰＣ等、シミュレーターとして見ているだけでも楽しい要素です。現在steamで販売する早期リリース版を作成中です。こちらはスタンドアローン版になっていますが、製品版ではオンライン対応し、マルチプレイ機能、チャット機能、フレンド機能、ワールド公開機能の追加を予定しています。開発者は私ともう一人のプログラマの二人のみで資金も持ち出しです。インディゲームを盛り上げたい、楽しいゲームを届けたい、という気持ちで頑張っております。以上、よろしくお願いします！

センス・オブ・ワンダー ナイト（SOWN）とは
「センス・オブ・ワンダー ナイト（SOWN）」は、”見た瞬間、コンセプトを聞いた瞬間に、誰もがはっと、自分の世界が何か変わるような感覚”＝「センス・オブ・ワンダー」を引き起こすようなゲームのアイデアを発掘し、ゲーム開発者に東京ゲームショウでプレゼンテーションの機会を提供する企画で、今年で14回目を迎えます。
2020年はインディーゲーム「選考出展」として選ばれた80団体・個人の中から、選考を経て、8組がファイナリストとして選ばれました。国別の内訳は日本から2作品、カナダ、ペルー、スイス、デンマーク、ポーランド、インドネシアからそれぞれ1組でした。「センス・オブ・ワンダー ナイト 2020」は2020年9月25日（金）に開催され、その模様はライブ配信されました。コロナ禍での開催となったため、海外のファイナリストにはオンラインでプレゼンテーションをしてもらいました。
最後に”Audience Award Grand Prix” “Best Technological Game Award” “Best Arts Award” “Best Experimental Game Award” “Best Game Design Award” “Best Presentation Award”が表彰され、盛況のうちに終了しました。イベント終了後には「インディーナイト パーティー」がオンラインで開催され、インディーゲーム開発者らが交流を楽しみました。
SOWNでのプレゼンテーションを希望する方は、インディーゲーム「選考出展」にご応募ください。応募の中から選考を経て、合格者にはインディーゲーム「選考出展」に出展する資格が与えられます。インディーゲーム「選考出展」の中から、さらに選考が行われ、SOWNでプレゼンテーションができるファイナリストが決まります。

インディーゲーム「選考出展」とSOWNの目的
● 実験的で、創造的な、ゲームデザインやアイデアを含んだゲームを紹介すること。
● ゲームにおける「センス・オブ・ワンダー」の重要性を紹介し、ゲーム産業の活性化を図ること。
● 実験的で、創造的なゲームを開発している人たちに、将来へのチャンスの場を提供すること。
● ゲームデザインに新しい領域を作り出していくこと。
発表を期待されているのは、プロトタイプのデモや、実験的な要素を持った発売済もしくは発売予定のゲーム、既存の概念を超えた自由な発想で開発したゲームといったものです。プロやアマチュア、学生といった区別もまったくありません。ベンチャー企業のゲームや、個人開発やサークル活動・同人ゲームなどの応募も歓迎します。

Naeval氏は1992年、12歳でゲームを遊びはじた時に自分を表現するための最高のメディアだと気付いた。1999年からOnez, Ociojoven, Anaitgames, Eurogamer, Videoshock and Vandalなどのスペインのメディアに寄稿し、2003年からNerlaska, Gameloft, Digital Legends, Abylight, U Play, Blit Software and A Crowd of Monstersなどのゲームを制作してきた。複数の大学でゲームに関する講義を行っているほか、ゲーム開発協会のメンバーとしても活躍している。
